2008 Teams
• CC LAX reserves the right to select its members annually based on coach’s recommendations and athlete evaluations. Should you not accept our invitation to play this year, you may not try out for CC Lax again until January 2010.
• CC LAX teams are formed on grade level by year of graduation – six grade levels in the 2008 season. Oldest will be ’09 and youngest will be ’14.
• Team placement will depend on your assessed skills during the tryouts. Because you were on a certain team last year does not mean you will be on that same team going forward. Athletes selected for the Black teams can play well at pace consistently. Athletes selected for Red or Gold teams need to develop consistent high-level abilities. Upward movement (Gold to Red or Red to Black) is an option we may exercise should space become available.
• Being a member of CC Lax requires that you have a great talent that will continue to develop, a team oriented attitude and a playing style and willingness to be the best player and person you can be.
• The roster size demands your attendance, commitment and positive attitude as we work to develop teamwork along with individual talent.
• CC Lax will support two to three teams (Black, Red, Gold) at each grade level. A program of training and competing will be used to improve your level of play with the goal of elite, top-level competition always in sight. All CC Lax teams will be bracketed for competitive play.
• Seasonal sign up for tournament teams require ALL fees to be paid prior to being added to the roster. Tournament teams will be filled in order of sign up. A wait list will activate when team is filled. Scheduling conflicts must be resolved 2 weeks prior to event. Refunds will not be issued. Period.
CC LAX fits somewhere between high school lacrosse & college lacrosse.
CC LAX is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a recreational program.
