2008 Commitment
A one season (January – December) CC LAX membership includes:Membership in CC LAX is based on the understanding that opportunities will be provided for all athletes to become the best person and player they can be in an atmosphere of FUN on a team with a roster size of approximately 18 field players assigned to intact teams. This requires full participation in the training and tournament attendance of CC Lax athletes. The commitment of the athlete and her parents to fully support this philosophy is required to continue as a CC LAX member.

Any player who makes the team must make CC Lax her number one lacrosse commitment. No other team can take precedence over CC Lax unless it is your school team. You may not play for another club.

All players are responsible for having the proper equipment and current UNIFORM at each event. Black spandex ONLY should be worn under your uniform when it’s cold. Proper shoes are a must for grass play. Always carry extra mouth-guards.

CC LAX maintains that athletic participation should encompass ALL sports. Being a member of a school team is paramount to the recruiting process and an easy identification for college coaches.

Communication within CC LAX is primarily electronic. We expect that you will access an email account on a daily basis to receive and reply to CC LAX updates and announcements. We encourage you to regularly check www.chesapeakelacrosse.com for interesting sound bites and photos.

Parents are required to defer to CC LAX personnel for all decisions regarding members: coaching strategy, team organization and standings. College coaches are always listening. On field opposition to referees, coaches and athletes could have a far-reaching negative effect on our athletes. If athletes have an on-the-field concern with a referee, they need to share the concern with a coach. Parents should NOT share any referee concerns on the field – EVER.

CC LAX is dedicated to excellence in lacrosse performance and has high expectations of conduct, with specific criteria including coach-ability, work ethic and commitment. The level of sportsmanship that we demand from our staff, players and their parents has been applauded throughout the Galaxy conference. We will continue this standard of zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior and hope that it will become the standard for the entire country.
